Classrooms
We have two infant classrooms:
Schedule
Children will follow their own age appropriate feeding and sleeping schedule, that will be discussed with parents/guardians during enrollment. Rest and feeding schedules and routines change quickly in the first 18 months of life and it is the responsibility of the parent to communicate those changes to the teaching staff in their child’s classroom.
Feeding
We support each mother’s choices around how they wish to feed their child. We have refrigeration in the classroom to store breastmilk in our two infant classrooms and one toddler classroom. Additionally, please feel free to nurse your child at Archangel Gabriel Preschool and Nursery wherever you feel comfortable -- in your child’s classroom, in a lounge or in one of our private restrooms where we can provide you with privacy.
We also offer the following formulas:
Personal Belongings
Each child is provided with a designated area to store their personal belongings. Parents are asked to bring in the following items for their child(ren):
Toddlers are always on the go! Our toddler classrooms provide a safe environment where your child can explore and learn. Teachers promote self-care skills such as feeding, cleaning and dressing. Our toddler program includes:

Throughout the day diapers are checked and potty time is provided for kids who are training.
Communication with Parents
Parents are able to provide useful information to the teacher in the morning. At the end of the day you receive a daily report with information on your child’s day. The sheet provides specific information on

What does the cost of tuition include?
Tuition includes snacks, laundry, school supplies (crayons, pencils, etc.), and curriculum materials.
Why was there a tuition increase?
Due to the rising cost of supplies and other necessities, a tuition increase is necessary for the success of this program. The inflation crisis is impacting us all. Unfortunately, at this time, the Finance Committee finds a tuition increase necessary for the program to remain open.
Can I pay in full?
Yes, full payments can be made for the traditional 10-month school year. Full payments must be complete prior to the first day of school.
When does the traditional school year start/end?
The school year starts August 29th and goes to June 2nd, 2023.
What will my child’s first day look like?
Your child will be greeted by their teacher and their new classmates. He/She will participate in the daily activities, such as, circle time, free play, language arts, math, art, gross motor, snack, breakfast, lunch and rest time. Your child will learn new letters, numbers, colors, and facts about the weekly themes each and every day. He/She will grow and learn in a safe, nurturing environment.
What will lessons look like during the week for my child?
Each week, teachers strategically plan their lessons based on the assigned topics. (For example, week 10’s topics may include: the letter N, the number 5, and the theme of the week.) These topics will be taught and reviewed each day. You child will have the opportunity to participate in these activities no matter what days you choose.
Can my child only come for a portion of the day?
Parents have the option to drop off and pick up their child at any point during our hours of 6:30-6:30. Pick up and drop off time is decided at the time of signing your contract with the director. School-day activities begin at 8:45 and conclude at 3:00.
Why is there a lot of downtime in the schedule due to meals?
As an Early Childhood Development program, it is necessary to understand that all children eat at different rates. All children require a certain amount of time each day for a “brain break”. Mealtime is a great opportunity for children to relax while working on social skills.
What if my child does not nap?
As an Early Childhood Development program, it is necessary to offer all children a rest period. During this time, your child will be listening to peaceful music in dimly lit room to rest for a short period of time. If they are not sleeping, they are provided with quiet activities which enhance their independence and imagination.
What is available over the summer?
At this time, we offer summer programs. These programs are offered daily. You can choose to send your child 2 days (T, TH), 3 days (M, W, F), or 5 days (M-F) a week. We are holding summer camp for school-age children which include themed weeks with additional activities to enhance your child’s skills. Preschool children will also participate in in these themed weeks and age-appropriate activities.
