In an effort to make Mass more welcoming to adults and children with disabilities, particularly those with sensory processing disorders, Archangel Gabriel Parish is hosting Sensory Friendly Masses on the fourth Sunday of each month at the 12:30 PM Mass at Holy Trinity Church.
Adaptations will include dimmer lights, no music, no incense, lower volume on microphones, availability of low-gluten hosts, and shorter, more literal homilies. In addition, we invite families and individuals to get up and move if needed, to bring alternative seating, fidgets, and/or noise cancelling headphones, and to participate in the liturgy just as they are.
If you or someone you love would benefit from a Sensory Friendly Mass, we invite you to join us.
